Uridine and its properties
Uridine is a nucleoside consisting of the nitrogen-containing uracil and the sugar ribose. Uridine monophosphate (UMP), in turn, is a nucleotide consisting of a uridine nucleoside attached to a single phosphate group. It is one of the basic building blocks of RNA (ribonucleic acid).
